Georgia football has multiple opponents they consider a rival, and one of the biggest is the Tennessee Volunteers.
The Dawgs video crew dropped a video ahead of the game on Thursday evening, and it was perfect. This week’s message is moving step by step to the overall goal of winning a national title.
Each week presents another mountain to climb, and it’s about taking it step-by-step instead of looking ahead like these next three teams won’t try their best to upset Georgia.
From the Hobnail boot to Herschel Walker running over the Tennessee player, the crew puts together some of the best moments from this rivalry.
They provided enough highlights to send chills all over and even trolled the Vols a tad at the end to give the right amount of ruthlessness it needed.
There is a subtle dig as the video ends that if you’re not paying attention could miss the perfect troll from the video crew.
After the 2019 Tennessee game, Jake Fromm went 24-of-29 for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
So, of course, he spoke to the media after the game, and when he finished, Fromm started singing Rocky Top as he left, and it made the perfect ending for this week’s video.
At the time, the video of him singing it circled around, and it instantly became one of his best moments off the field. It’s been two years, and I’m sure some forgot about it, so hearing it on the hype video was incredible.
The Vols did decide to wear their alternate black jerseys for this game, which is fine, but good luck to them. This dig was just enough to remind the Vols of what happened the last time Georgia played in Knoxville.
However, the ending isn’t what the message is about, but it’s an excellent touch.
The Dawgs are here to make history, and Tennessee is the next team on their journey.
This message uses this game as the next part of the climb, trying to reach the top of the mountain where the national title sits.
Georgia’s video crew did a great job once again, and this video is a must-watch before heading into the game on Saturday or watching it.
