Tramel Walthour earns first career sack as a Dawg

The last prediction is that junior Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Tramel Walthour will get his first career sack at Georgia on Saturday.

Walthour has waited for his time, and Saturday will be an excellent opportunity for him to prove he can be a force for this defense.

On the season, he has 11 tackles, two pass breakups and three quarterback hurries. Walthour needs to kick it into overdrive on Saturday and have a big day.

The Dawgs need to rest its big guys up front after battling it out on Tennessee’s liability of a football field. If Walthour and company can do a good job, Georgia can rest Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Jalen Carter. However, Carter will likely get a big chunk of reps with Walthour subbing in and out for him.

However, it’s overdue for him to sack a quarterback, and Saturday, he finally gets over the hump and makes it happen. By getting a sack and a few tackles, it’ll give him some much-needed confidence. The Dawgs need that out of him, or he could potentially get beat out by an incoming freshman.

This position will be one that Georgia will lose two talented players, and with Walthour having one more season under his belt, he could use a good game to boost his confidence and prove some things to the coaching staff.

Next. Georgia football slowly continues to see improved health. dark

Georgia football needs to keep this train rolling, and this Charleston Southern team needs to understand Saturday isn’t going to be a Cinderella moment. The Dawgs need to go in there, kick some tail and move onto Georgia Tech.
