After Georgia football didn’t have this rivalry game with Georgia Tech last year, this year’s matchup will mean a whole lot more.

It will mean the Dawgs will have the chance to show those weak little Yellow Jackets that they’re still the little brother. The Dawgs will have an opportunity to show them why Georgia runs this state.

Georgia Tech so far throughout the year has an overall record of 3-8 and 2-6 in conference play. To say the least, they have been a doormat throughout a very weak ACC this season.

Georgia football will have to watch out for these six playmakers off the Yellow Jacket team.

The Yellow Jackets allow 180 yards per game rushing on the season, so expect the Dawgs to try to just manhandle the Yellow Jackets and run the ball down their throat the entire game.

If there is one upside for Tech, it would be the fact that their ground game is solid, averaging 175 yards per game rushing, but there is little to zero chance they can do it on the treacherous Dawg defense. They have better numbers through the air as Georgia Tech averages 221.1 yards a game.

However, the Dawgs should be able to handle the Yellow Jackets’ passing game because the pass rush will do its job far before they should make any plays.

For Tech to pull off an unprecedented upset, they would have to be completely perfect, and that might not even be enough to beat this historic Georgia team.

Two years have gone by since Tech has gotten some Clean Old Fashioned hate, so it’s time to deliver. Here are six players for Georgia Tech to watch out for on Saturday as the Dawgs look to get their 12th win on the season and get their fourth straight win over their in-state rivals.
