Shemar James is the final name that heavily leans on the Dawgs. He is a 4-star linebacker out of Mobile, Alabama.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, James is the No. 64 overall, No.7 linebacker, and the No. 3 player out of Alabama.

James is another kid who was committed to the Florida Gators but de-committed on Oct. 20. He opened his recruitment back up, and the Dawgs immediately became the team to watch.

He has also visited Alabama a couple of times on Oct. 23 and Nov. 6. James went to FSU on Nov. 13 and took his official visit to Athens on Dec. 10.

James has had 13 sacks in the last two seasons and 17 tackles for loss. He is a head hunter who could become another NFL-bound linebacker with the right development.

Alabama will be the team to beat out here, so it could be another battle between the Tide and the Dawgs for a pledge.

He was one of the families that got visited by Glenn Schumann, Dan Lanning, and Kirby Smart during the home visits the past week, and it seems like that could really have set the tone for the rest of his recruitment.

James will likely announce on Wednesday, and we’re working on confirming the time.
