3 Georgia football players who will likely play their last game on Monday
George Pickens
Unfortunately, George Pickens’ junior year has not gone like we thought it would in the preseason. During spring practice of 2021, he suffered an ACL tear that kept him out of action until November.
He has had very few catches this season because of this but has proven he can be a weapon, whether in the passing game or blocking.

Despite his limited playing time this year, many believe Pickens can still be a high draft pick. Some even say he could be a very late first-rounder. He can prove that with a monster game on Monday against Alabama.
Pickens is a native of Hoover, Ala., and was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He burst onto the scene as a freshman with 49 catches, 727 yards and eight touchdowns. His biggest game came against Baylor in the 2020 Sugar Bowl, where he had 175 yards and a touchdown, earning the Sugar Bowl MVP at the end of the game.
Personally, I hope he stays for his senior year because I believe he will have more of a chance to build up his draft stock. He is also just a fun receiver to watch.
There will be others who will suit up for the final time on Monday, whether or not they are leaving early for the NFL or graduating from school. Their contributions helped make this season one of the most memorable in Georgia football history.
