Georgia basketball has long road ahead, but they deserve support
Georgia basketball is on a six-game losing streak as the Dawgs travel to play No. 2 Auburn tonight.
This program has a long road ahead of them, and tonight could get ugly if head coach Tom Crean isn’t careful. While some terrible things have happened to this squad, it’s still hard watching them struggle.
As the Dawgs get thicker into the SEC portion of the schedule, there have been some bright spots but more head-scratching moments.
Georgia basketball still needs Dawg Nation’s support even with the struggles.
While it is difficult to watch the Dawgs struggle like this, they still need the support. Crean came to Athens with big hopes, and at times it seemed to be headed in the right direction, but now with all the transfers, it’s hard to see the light.
The Dawgs are in Auburn tonight for a big showdown, and the Tigers are one of the best men’s programs in basketball right now. Georgia will have to be on its A-game, but Auburn may still steamroll the Dawgs even then.
Who knows, after Georgia fell to Gardner-Webb, they played Texas A&M close and almost won but couldn’t finish it.
Georgia hasn’t won since Dec. 20, so tonight, they need to show the world that even though this year will be a long one, they still have some fight left in them.
The Dawgs may not win an SEC game, but that doesn’t mean they can’t fight hard. Georgia fans need to back this team and even if they lose, just show them support. We all have the right to want better from this basketball team, but that isn’t happening for now, so enjoy the game and still shout ‘Go Dawgs!’
This Auburn game may be ugly, but the football team’s national championship should give this fan base enough happiness to get through this rough basketball season. Plus, there is a group of young women who have a talented team that could also use some support.
