Georgia football players already show new LB coach love
Georgia football players are already voicing how much they like the new linebacker coach, Chidera Uzo-Diribe.
Senior linebacker Nolan Smith took to Twitter where he commented on a photo talking about Uzo-Diribe, and it was evident he likes the new hire.
This endorsement is huge for a brand new coach, especially coming from someone like Smith. He is a leader on this team, and people follow him.
Georgia football found another elite linebacker coach.
That public statement is also something recruits see, which helps in that department too. Smith is bright and knows how to gain attention without doing it in a negative connotation.
Uzo-Diribe is a young up-and-coming coach that head coach Kirby Smart believed was the right man for the job, and it isn’t going unnoticed. He has already hit the ground running, building a social media presence among Dawg Nation, and now Smith is endorsing him.
When Smart chose Uzo-Diribe, there was a suspicion that this hire could be the next great one because of his tenacious coaching style and ability to recruit against some of the best coaches.
Uzo-Diribe can get right into the drill and show these players what he wants out of them. That ability to do that speaks to the young players because it has to help them learn. Plus, that hands-on approach is right up Smart’s ally. He likes showing the players, and it fires up the players too.
Certain expectations come with being a Georgia football coach, and Uzo-Diribe seems to already understand that. It’s fantastic to see him already bonding with the players, and this summer will be fun to watch him on the recruiting trail.
Can Uzo-Diribe develop these young guys as Georgia needs him to so this position stays elite? This spring will be a strong indication of whether or not he can, but it’s a good sign with Smith endorsing him already.
