Georgia football will not only host a large but a talented ground of recruits for G-Day this weekend. The Dawgs are one of the best programs at recruiting, so this weekend will be one to impress 2023, 2024 and possibly 2025 guys.

While rain may be in the forecast on Saturday, it should be gone by kickoffs, so one of the easiest ways to impress these potential players is by having a packed house.

Dawg nation loves their team, so there should be a great crowd in Athens supporting the defending national champions.

Georgia football will see a big group of recruits in town for the annual scrimmage game.

There will be some notable 2023 names in the Classic City this week. Going through Twitter, the number of players we saw announcing they would be at Georgia this weekend was impressive.

From alumni, highly rated prospects, and legacy players to even the Atlanta Braves mascot, Blooper, everyone will be in Athens taking it all in and getting that first look at the 2022 Georgia team.

There are under 24 hours until the G-Day game, so if you haven’t bought tickets or made plans, it’s time to do it now.

A couple of the notable recruits heading to Athens are 5-star Samuel M’Pemba and 4-star Gabriel Harris.

Both are high on the Dawgs’ want list, so having them both in town is crucial.

Another 5-star, Jayden Wayne, tweeted earlier on Friday that he was in Athens, but it wasn’t specific if he would stay for G-Day or not.

Big-time receiver prospect Hykeem Williams could also be in town as he announced Georgia would be an official visit for him in the future.

Raymond Cottrell, one of the Dawgs’ current pledges in the 2023 class, visited not long ago but announced he was headed back to Athens on Twitter.

He is emerging as someone who recruits for the Dawgs. Cottrell loves Georgia, and he could really help sway players to pick the good guys.

Current Notre Dame commit Justyn Rhett will be in Athens this weekend, and he is another notable name out there the Dawgs are pursuing.

These announcements help create that buzz Dawg fans feel as Saturday seems like it will never get here.

There were more announcements on Twitter, but these are guys that are truly some of the most exciting visitors. As others announce, we will continue to update.

Georgia football could see a pledge or two, not just in the 2023 class but in other years too. We’re not sure exactly when or who, but there should be a few after this weekend.

The Dawgs know how to make recruits feel at home, and with G-Day, this weekend is even more important. It’s an easy recruiting tool that will pay off in a few pledges.
