Georgia football saw Zamir White off the board first on Day 3 of the 2022 NFL Draft as the Raiders selected him during the fourth round with the 122nd pick.

With White drafted, the Dawgs now have 10 total, breaking their school record for most taken in a single draft, and it won’t be long until they break it again, as Saturday should result in a few more draft picks.

The Raiders got an undervalued running back in White because he shared the load with James Cook, and his injuries also came into play.

The Dawgs don’t use running backs as other schools do. Georgia has a running back by committee strategy, and even with that, both its running backs got drafted into the league.

White is a versatile back that Georgia used in both the pass and running game. The Dawgs have implemented those things into the game plan to prepare its running backs for the NFL.

The Raiders got a bowling ball in White. He can run over people and has explosive speed. White can make people miss, and he has excellent vision to juke and pivot between the tackles.

Despite his knee injuries, this young man overcame it all. He gets better the more White plays. His confidence grew a lot in 2021 as he began to trust himself again.

White reminds us of Isaiah Crowell, but he has more downhill speed, and his ability to make defenders miss is quite impressive.

Last season, he led the Dawgs with 160 carries for  856 yards and 11 scores. White averaged 5.35 yards a touch, which should make the Raiders even happier. He doesn’t go down on the first hit, and White will keep pushing until he gets completely tackled.

There is no quit in this running back, and Las Vegas got a back who will fit in nicely with its franchise.

Georgia has five players left on the board as the Dawgs look to close out the 2022 NFL Draft with a bang and break a few more records.
