Georgia football fans know that the 15 players selected in the NFL Draft are all unique, but there is something about Lewis Cine heading to Minnesota to play with the Vikings that screams perfection.
After watching the excitement from Cine and the entire Viking franchise about him getting selected 32nd overall, it told us that it was a great fit.
There have been videos of first-round players meeting their new teams, and that content is what fans want. These players have to learn new playbooks, team culture, and traditions just like they did in college, so it’s essential to introduce them and break those down right away.
The sooner players like Cine and the other new draftees can learn their team’s culture, the sooner fans bond with them.
Former Dawg Lewis Cine meets the Vikings, and it’s a match that screams success.
Cine’s video gave us all the emotions and provided insight into who he is as a person. Not to mention, it showed the fans a little bit about the new general manager and head coach. Both of those guys were so excited about Cine because it was their first pick as members of the Viking franchise.
These four minutes show how intelligent Cine is and how genuinely happy he is to get drafted by the Vikings. Plus, getting a little bit of an insight into what happens on Day 1 as a new player was interesting.
Swag on top of swag, radio interviews, meeting the front office people, touring the facilities, and getting his jersey number were also incredible to witness his reactions. It was also great seeing him learn what ‘Skol’ is and why it’s important to the team.
Cine is such an amazing player on and off the field. He is the walking definition of what head coach Kirby Smart wants from his players in the program.
I didn’t realize he was initially from Hati, then moved a few more times before getting to Athens. His answer about where he considers home gave me the chills and showed us that the 2021 team was full of genuine individuals who loved each other.
However, all this stuff isn’t the only reason Cine makes a perfect fit for the Vikings. His physical skills are also what makes him unique. Cine has the speed, aggressiveness, and vision to make an excellent safety in the league. Now he gets to learn from Harrison Smith, which will elevate his game even more.
Cine won’t let this opportunity slip by him, but instead, he will take the reins in both hands and power forward. This kid has known success all of his career, but that doesn’t stop him from working harder than most. Those character traits seemed to have been another reason this franchise wanted him, and it was evident they wanted him badly.
The Vikings drafted a safety that’ll give his all and engulf himself in the community because that is Cine. He is a high-character player on and off the field. Those two things mixed to provide the right energy for success, and the Vikings knew who they wanted and got him in the first round.
