Former Georgia football running back may have just won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, but he is a free agent, so he is shopping around for a new team.

There are two teams that reports suggest Michel will visit, and both of them would be great fits for the talented running back. ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler posted that Michel would visit with the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.

While it seems surprising the Rams wouldn’t resign him, Michel needs to find a team that will use his strengths and not as a compliment back.

Georgia football running back Sony Michel visits two new NFL teams.

After seeing Fowler’s tweet, those are two teams that would benefit from having a guy like Michel on their team. If he is healthy, Michel can be one of the better running backs in the league.

Michel is in Miami on Thursday and will visit the Saints later this week. After the 2022 NFL Draft, teams are working on filling their rosters, and a running back like Michel is a hot commodity.

After getting drafted by the New England Patriots in 2018, he spent the next three seasons with them. Michel scored the only touchdown in the Patriot’s 2019 Super Bowl win as a rookie.

He was an excellent fit for the Pats, but injuries held him back, and they traded him to the Rams.

He channeled that Rose Bowl performance and rose to the occasion on the biggest professional football stage. There are very few people who get to win a Super Bowl ring in their entire career, but as a rookie and him being a big reason, they did? He is special.

Michel headed to LA, and in his first season with the Rams, they won a Super Bowl, so now he has two rings with two different teams. Maybe it’s pure luck, or it’s not, but Michel is a winner and the two teams he will visit this week need a winner like him.

It won’t take him long to get picked up by a team, though, because Michel has proven that he is a significant weapon when healthy.
