Georgia golf saw the women finish in the top five, and now it’s time for the men to take a run at the NCAA Tournament at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The Dawgs are looking to snag the program’s first national title since 2005. This year marks the 24th NCAA Tournament since they went to the regional format and the 21st under head coach Chris Haack. However, it’s the 50th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

Thirty squads will play 54 holes of stroke play before cutting the field down to 15 on Monday for one final round of 18 holes to crown the individual champ and see who advances into the match play portion.

Georgia golf looks for its third national championship in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Haack brings one of the best lineups to Scottsdale, Ariz., and this group plays so well together. It’s a hard squad to beat when they’re on their top game.

Trent Phillips, Maxwell Ford, Buck Brumlow, Ben van Wyk, Connor Creasy and Nicolas Cassidy are the five players traveling. All five will play, but the four best scores will get counted each day.

This group placed fourth at the Bryan Regional to make it to the NCAA Tournament, and now they will look to keep the momentum going.

Phillips is one of the best guys in this lineup, but all five are strong players. The two freshmen in Ford and Brumlow are the future of this program but could start their careers off well with strong performances this week at NCAAs.

However, it’s essential to take this week one day at a time because anything can happen, and it’s all about staying consistent.

The Dawgs will play Arkansas and Wake Forest for the first two rounds. Round one for Georgia sees tee times between 4:20 p.m. and 5:04 p.m. ET.  The second round tee times range from 11-11:44 a.m. ET.
