Georgia golf did its job, and both the men’s and women’s programs are headed to the NCAA Championships as the men advanced on Wednesday.

The Dawgs placed fourth in the Bryan Regional and were one of five teams from that region that will head to Scottsdale, Ariz., to compete for another national title. This year will be the 21st time under head coach Chris Haack that the guys advance.

Georgia’s women’s program advanced to their second-straight NCAA Championship, and their tournament is also in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The girls teeing it up for Georgia are Jenny Bae, Jo Hua Hung, Caterina Don, Candice Mahé and LoraLie Cowart. Céleste Dao will travel as a substitute in case they need one.

This group finished 10th at the SEC Championship tournament and rallied to finish third in the regionals.

On Wednesday, Georgia men’s found out that they would join the ladies in Scottsdale. The men’s event is from May 27-June 1, and it is at the same venue as the women’s tournament.

Georgia joins Arizona, Pepperdine, Texas A&M and Kansas as the five teams that advanced out of the Bryan Regional.

The Dawgs will likely use the same lineup that helped them advance as they will look to Trent Phillips, Ben van Wyke, Maxwell Ford, Nicolas Cassidy, and Buck Brumlow to bring home some hardware.
