Chris Peal — 4-star, 6-0, 175lbs, CB

The next name on this list is 4-star defensive back Chris Peal. He is a speedy multi-sport athlete, which the Dawgs love having at corner.

Another North Carolina prospect, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, Paul is the No. 29 cornerback and the No. 10 player out of the Tarheel state.

At 6-0 and 175-pounds, Peal could use some more weight on him, but his speed is what makes him so unique. With him being so fast, he could play multiple positions for the Dawgs, especially on special teams.

He recorded 111 carries for 682 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Peal averaged 6.1 yards a carry and about 62 yards a game. He also had 22 catches for 183 yards and two scores.

Peal recorded 56 tackles, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries, a blocked punt, and 17 pass deflections on defense.

Those breakups are intriguing, too, because the Dawgs love those scrappy defensive backs that aren’t afraid to get physical with the receivers.

Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown is the lead recruiter with this young man, and Will Muschamp is the secondary guy, so Peal has two of the best convincing him why choosing the Dawgs is the right choice.

Peal took an official visit to Georgia during the first week of June after getting an offer from the Dawgs in March.

The visit appeared to have gone well, so there is a lot of steam circling him after his trip to Athens.

Georgia needs bodies in the secondary, but his versatility to be a possible return guy is even more intriguing.

He could be someone that makes his college decision this summer ahead of his senior year of high school ball, but only time will tell if that’ll happen.
