Georgia football landed the No.1 tight end for the 2024 class, proving the Dawgs are TEU.

A big red and black machine is coming down the track, and it’s the Georgia football recruiting train as the Dawgs add another 2024 monster to that class.

Todd Hartley has done it again, adding his fifth straight recruiting class with a massive tight end. It started with Darnell Washington, then Brock Bowers, Oscar Delp, the 2023 class has two and now Colquitt County’s own Landon Thomas has pledged to the Dawgs.

Is there anyone Hartley can’t close on and get to commit? He redeemed himself with Arik Gilbert by getting him to transfer to Georgia from LSU so that one doesn’t count.

Georgia is on track to have one impressive recruiting month, and the Dawgs are just getting started. Seven days into July, the Dawgs obtained two pickups for the 2024 classes, both from Colquitt County.

On Tuesday, the Dawgs added 4-star receiver Ny Carr, which set the rest in motion.

Georgia football and Todd Hartley prove the Dawgs are TEU with the latest pickup.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Thomas is the No. 24 overall, No.1 tight end and the No. 6 player out of Georgia.

At 6-4 and 230-pounds as a rising junior, Thomas is a special player. He seems to love what Georgia offers at the tight end position, and Thomas fits in perfectly.

Last season he caught 31 passes for 516 yards and seven touchdowns. Thomas has good route running abilities, but he can also lay down a block, which is necessary on this offense.

He fits the mold and will make a great addition to the room when it’s time for him to sign. A lot could change between now and then, but when a kid like that commits, it usually means he is in it for the long haul.

Georgia should be excited about this one because his ceiling is high. He is a traditional tight end, but Hartley and Todd Monken can work with him.

Thomas should excite the Bulldog fans because it’s keeping the new trend of getting talented tight ends in each class alive. There is nothing quite like a good tight end, and the Dawgs are finally using the position as the fanbase wanted for so long.

Georgia football is far from being done with adding pledges this month. It won’t be long before another 2024 member commits, plus a few 2023 pledges, join the club.
