Georgia football continues to see love from preseason lists, and the AP preseason All-American one included four talented Dawgs.
Seeing these names on the All-American lists before the season starts shows what kind of talent the Dawgs still have on this team. Despite losing so many to the NFL, Georgia still has some studs to compete this season.
Three of the four guys landed on the preseason All-American first team, and the Dawgs also saw one guy on the second-team defense.
Brock Bowers was the lone offensive player to land on the first team. Jalen Carter and Kelee Ringo are the two defenders on the first-team list, while Nolan Smith is on the second-team defense list.

Smith will likely surprise some people this season. His decision to come back for his senior season was crucial to this defense’s success because he is a leader. Not to mention, Smith has the talent but needed another year of development to take on his potential fully.
He should explode onto the scene this year because it’s Smith’s time to shine.
The three first-teamers are looking to build off their impressive 2021 campaigns. Bowers led the team in receiving yards, Ringo was the national championship hero, and Carter was a force of nature despite sharing the load with two NFL draftees.
These four players are the ones Georgia needs to take the next step in 2022, and they are the ones that will. They are leaders and guys the other players look to — even with Bowers being a younger player, and he still has left an imprint already.
Smith, Carter, and Ringo will be pivotal defensive players in 2022. The Dawgs need them to help the younger players step up because, while talented, they still lack a lot of experience.
Seeing these four make a preseason All-American list is terrific, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see all four make the postseason All-American list too.
