Georgia football starting cornerback Kelee Ringo is heading into his second full season with the Dawgs, with this year having the potential to be a massive year for him.

After becoming a Georgia hero for his pick-six in the national championship, everyone knows his name, but Ringo was doing a lot more before that play. He took to the position right away, and after returning from injury his freshman season, Ringo became one of the best in the SEC.

Ringo took on the role of one of the starting corners and embraced that position. Georgia football landed him from Arizona and Athens has become another home for him. He was such a highly sought-after player, so it’s great to see him living up to his potential.

Here’s the 2022 Georgia football profile for cornerback Kelee Ringo breaking down his strengths, weaknesses, video highlights, and a season prediction.

Last season, Ringo recorded 34 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, two interceptions, eight pass breakups, and one quarterback hurry.

Let’s break down what Ringo brings to the table in 2022, from his strengths and weaknesses, to provide a season prediction for a little extra fun.

Strengths

Two of Ringo’s biggest strengths are his physicality and vision. He is very aggressive at attacking receiver blocks and tackles better than most corners. His size at 6-2 and 205-pounds is also a strength for him because it allows him to go up against some of the bigger targets and handle them.

Not to mention Ringo is quick, recording a 4.35 40-yard dash time. To have a swift and aggressive corner just makes for the perfect ratio. Ringo’s instincts are also out of this world. Those interceptions from last season came from knowing what the quarterback would do, and he was able to make those big plays.

Ringo is a top-tier corner and should be one of the best in the upcoming draft class if he chooses to go. Regardless he will be one of the best in college football.

Weaknesses

Despite having more strengths than weaknesses, we must include both sides of Ringo. Sometimes he doesn’t make the best tackles, so it’s a strength and weakness. The biggest drawback is experience. Despite having a full year under his belt, this year will mark just his second season, so there is always room for development.

Ringo is someone that learns the more he plays, so while there are far more good than bad, he can always get better.

2022 Season Prediction for Kelee Ringo

Last season was a great starting point for Ringo, but it would be great to see him record more overall tackles, not to mention land a few more interceptions. Our prediction for Ringo in 2022 is 45 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, five interceptions, and 10-plus pass breakups.

His ability to be aggressive will pay off in 2022, which is why I went boldly on those predictions. Ringo is a top corner, and this season he proves to the rest of the world that he is.
