Georgia football has two NFL rookie RBs on high alert
Georgia football sent 15 into the NFL, but of those, the two running backs are already on an NFL expert’s breakout rookie list.
Raiders’ Zamir White and Bills’ James Cook land on Kyle Brandt’s list of rookie running backs turning heads. This dynamic duo was some of Dawg Nations’ favorite backs, so seeing them take that talent to the next level is what you want to see as a program.
Cook has such a high ceiling; with White, he gets better the further he gets away from those injuries. These two are just the next installment of Georgia running backs taking over the NFL.
For an NFL expert to see their potential is an excellent sign of what’s coming. Georgia fans have seen Nick Chubb succeed in the NFL, Sony Michel has two rings and Todd Gurley was quite successful — now it’s time for White and Cook to put themselves into that category.
Georgia football has its rookie running backs on breakout alert for their first year in the league.
In Buffalo, Cook is competing for significant playing time and warding off his competition left and right. He has performed well throughout camp and into the preseason. Reports stated that he is more than a third-down running back and is a smooth runner. Georgia fans knew it wouldn’t take the Bills long to see his potential and talent, but it’s great to see him flash it early.
White has also impressed early on in this preseason with the Raiders. Las Vegas is releasing Kenyan Drake, which would free up a prime-time running back slot for White, and it’s clear he has done a lot of work with the Raiders to prove himself.
Both running backs could see significant time on the field as rookies, and who knows, they could end up being stars by the end of the season. It’s great to see that Brandt respects their talent enough to put them on this list, and now watch them run away with it because both will be breakout players in 2022.
