Georgia football is a program that emphasizes that team-first mentality, and as the Dawgs get ready to play in the 2022 SEC Championship against the LSU Tigers. Every Friday, the Dawgs drop a new hype video, and this week’s reminded the fanbase who this team is. A brotherhood comes with playing for the Dawgs, and head coach Kirby Smart makes sure his players know that.

This week, former Georgia greats Nick Chubb and Sony Michel narrated the video as they were two of the last players to win an SEC Championship at Georgia. They know what it means to come together as a team and take it all the way. While they fell short, their group set the Dawgs up to have this run.

Their narration of this video brought back memories because it included some of their highlights, but the message mattered more. These two are the walking definition of what it means to be a legacy player, and it’s now the 2022 squad’s chance to keep that going. They have the opportunity to do what the 2021 squad couldn’t get done, and they have a point to prove.

Georgia football has success because of this team and program’s bond.

Each week there is a theme or a message, and for the SEC Championship Game, it’s “for each other.” Opening up with a montage of phones, including one with coach Vince Dooley is a great touch. Then Smart opens with, “our standard is our motivation.” That line gave us chills.

You’re either elite or your not moment — this video is all about the various moments of coming together as a team and how it’s all about the players’ bond at Georgia. The video speaks for itself, but take a moment, watch it, and channel that energy into making Mercedes Benz Stadium one of the loudest it has ever been — including when the Falcons and Atlanta United play there. This team motivates itself, but it’s impossible to beat the Dawgs when those fans rise and match that energy.
