Georgia football: Commitment times for the 2023 class
Georgia football will fire up that fax machine bright and early as Early Signing Day starts at dawn. Kids will begin sending in their letters of intent as early as 6 a.m., so it is an all-day event.
The Dawgs will see most of its class sign on Wednesday, but when will they announce it? Some guys will have their signings televised, so this is the one-stop shop to find those times and whether they are on television.
This 2023 class will be another Top 3 for the Dawgs and should be a Top 2 unless disaster happens. That disaster won’t happen, but if a lot of momentum happens for Georgia and not for Alabama, who knows, the Dawgs could take that top class.
Here are the Georgia football 2023 Early Signing Day announcement times.
These times are the ones we can confirm, and we’ve included the targets Georgia could land on Wednesday.
Announcement Times:
- 8 a.m.: Daniel Harris: 4-star CB
Starting the day out will be Daniel Harris, a 4-star cornerback. He will select between the Dawgs and Penn State. Georgia sits in a good spot with this one, and he could be the first domino to fall Georgia’s way on Wednesday. A one-time member of this 2023 class it seems he will decide to rejoin this group and come to Athens next summer.
- 10 a.m.: Bo Hughley: 4-star OT
Georgia should have its second LOI with Bo Hughley, who has flirted with other teams like Auburn and Colorado, but Georgia should sign this one in the end because he loves the Dawgs.
- 12 p.m/3:30 p.m..: Damon Wilson: 5-star EDGE
Damon Wilson, a 5-star edge rusher, will be announcing his decision on CBS Sports at noon tomorrow. However, Rivals has him announcing at 3:30 p.m. on their announcement guide, so it’ll be something to watch starting at noon.
He is picking between the Dawgs and Ohio State, and the Dawgs sit in a good spot with this one. Wilson could be a huge pickup for Georgia and really solidify this recruiting cycle.
- 1 p.m.: Kyron Jones, 3-star ATH
Kyron Jones is another target the Dawgs are looking to sign on Early Signing Day. He is deciding at 1 p.m. and will pick between Georgia, Nebraska and N.C. State.
- 2:30 p.m. Thursday: Jordan Hall; 4-star DT
Another target the Dawgs will look to sign in Jordan Hall, a defensive tackle out of Jacksonville. However, he will make his announcement on Thursday, as this signing period is three days long. Hall is picking between Georgia, Alabama, Florida and LSU.
While these are the times we know, stay alert throughout the day because Georgia’s commits will send in their letters of intent all day long. There will be a few February signers, but for the most part, the Dawgs will have a great day.
