Georgia football: Is landing Travis Hunter a real possibility?

Georgia football is working the transfer portal hard, and with Travis Hunter putting his name in there, the Dawgs were one of the first landing places mentioned. The Dawgs were one of the teams that wanted him out of high school, but Hunter chose Jackson State to play for Deion Sanders.

Now that Sanders is heading to Colorado, will Hunter follow him there, or will he decide to head to one of the schools that fought so hard the first time around? When it comes to Hunter, no one knows what he will do besides himself, making him who he is. This kid is an incredible athlete that any team would be lucky to have.

Since he announced that he would transfer, the schools who recruited him before have been in the discussion along with Colorado. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Hunter follow Sanders since he chose Jackson State and him the first go around, but maybe he wants a change. Georgia would make for a great landing spot, but all the teams that recruited him would love to have him, so this offseason just got a little more interesting.

In his first year at Jackson State, Hunter played eight games, recording 20 tackles, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. That performance is pretty solid for a freshman campaign.

Georgia should get a look here by Hunter. If he wants to contend for national championships, then Georgia is the school to play at because they are the up-and-coming program. Well, a program that continues to contend every year. Georgia is the hot place right now and can offer a nice NIL situation too.

Colorado seems the most obvious place because of Sanders, but it will be an interesting situation to monitor because the Dawgs are very much in the race. No one should ever count out the Dawgs in these kinds of situations, so keep a close eye on Hunter because it could mean good news for Georgia.
