The Georgia Bulldogs are on a hot streak despite it being in the single digits in Athens. Georgia has picked up five new commitments this week during the Early Signing Period, including three high schoolers and two out of the transfer portal. Before we get started, we wanted to wish everyone a  Merry Christmas Eve to all those that celebrate, or Happy Day 6 of Hanukkah — Happy Holidays to all.

While five pickups seem to be a lot, the Dawgs are far from done, which makes this holiday season a touch more exciting. Not to mention, there are just eight days until the semifinal matchup against Ohio State, so the end is near Dawg fans.

The news surrounding the Dawgs was mostly about national signing day, but that loveable panda at the Atlanta Zoo made a game pick, and we thoroughly enjoyed that content. Check out these two storylines about the Dawgs in today’s news brief.

There is another pickup for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Thursday brought in multiple pieces of good news for the Dawgs. Jordan Hall and RaRa Thomas committed to the G, and later on in the evening, Dominic Lovett joined them.  Lovett announced he would transfer to Georgia from Missouri, giving the Dawgs two extremely talented SEC receivers to add to their arsenal.

Other fans can complain about the whole Jermaine Burton situation from last year, but the Dawgs are using the transfer portal strategically, and adding these two are perfect additions. This duo may not be the only players that Georgia gets out of the portal, but for now, they are the ones that are keeping the hot streak going.

Lovett led Missouri with 846 receiving yards, giving him the fourth-best in the SEC. He gave the Dawgs fits earlier in the season with six catches for 84 yards. However, his most dominant performance was against South Carolina, as Lovett recorded 10 catches for 148 yards.

He is one of the best transfer portal receivers on 247Sports, and that should really excite the Georgia fans. The Dawgs will have a receiver room full of weapons for the next quarterback to get comfortable with, making the change easier. Thomas and Lovett are an ideal duo for Georgia because they complement the other receivers already in the room.

It was a knockout of the park from the Georgia staff to add Lovett and Thomas. They’re not done either, as the good times keep on rolling.

Zoo Atlanta’s panda picks the Georgia Bulldogs.

Yang Yang, Zoo Atlanta’s 25-year-old panda, was assigned to pick between the Dawgs and the Buckeyes. Like the Georgia Aquarium, sea lions did for the opening kickoff game; the animal decided between the two teams and picked the Dawgs.

The panda knows who the better team is for this playoff game, and while not everyone likes this kind of content, it showcases one of the best things about Atlanta. Zoo Atlanta is a great place for people to visit, along with the Georgia Aquarium.

Yang Yang wasted no time in thevideo selecting the big G, just as the sea lion selected the Georgia helmet. They know the hometown team is a great pick, and the rest of the experts should follow in these good animals’ footsteps.

The Georgia Bulldogs are off for the Holidays, but once next week arrives, it’ll be all business for the Dawgs. Georgia looks to make it to its second straight national championship, but first, it must take down a confident Ohio State team that has nothing to lose but everything to gain by taking down the Dawgs.
