All the Georgia Bulldogs news you need from the last 24 hours, starting with some recruiting news out of Athens.

2023 consensus No. 1 tight end Duce Robinson has yet to officially sign with a school, but it’s widely believed that day is quickly approaching, and all signs point to Georgia as his destination. Per a report, Robinson has set a deadline of April 1 to sign with a school, and UGA appears to be the leader.

Stop us if you’ve heard this before, but Auburn is looking to grab a transfer quarterback to run the system being installed by new head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff. One publication believes that Brock Vandagriff could grow weary of waiting behind so many 5-star quarterbacks and bolt for the plains. Probably just best to wait and see how this QB competition shakes out in Athens.

Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class is already sitting on top, but Kirby Smart and his staff are always looking to get better. This week Smart offered 4-Star wide receiver JJ Harrell, the No. 5 recruit out of Mississippi, and announced that speedy two-way player Aaron Butler‍, a 4-Star prospect out of California, will be coming to Athens on an official visit the weekend of April 14th.

The No. 13 Georgia softball team will be traveling to Clemson for a mid-week game against the No. 7 Tigers, before returning home to take on Hofstra in the Georgia Classic on Friday. The 7-3 Bulldogs are coming off a loss to Charlotte last week.

Georgia and Texas A&M were among the nation’s leaders in recruiting money spent for 2023. Seems based on prior results the Bulldogs are getting much more bang for the buck.

College football leadership members are currently discussing possible rule changes that could potentially shorten games and mitigate some injury risks. Some of the proposed changes include prohibiting consecutive timeouts, removing untimed downs at end of the first or third quarter as a result of a defensive penalty, a running clock after first downs except inside of two minutes remaining in a half, and running clocks on incompletions once the ball has been spotted.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is once again railing against the inevitable College Football Playoff expansion. The two-time national champion coach has been opposed to the idea of expansion from the beginning and has taken a lot of public heat for his stance.
