With all the talk about schedules, schedule changes, and conference realignment, it seems like a good time to explore the FBS teams the Georgia football program has never faced.

As one of the oldest universities in the nation, and with a football program that dates back to 1892, it almost seems unthinkable that Georgia has never played some of the biggest programs in the nation.

But, the fact is there are 41 schools Georgia has never faced on the football field. Many of these are Group of Five programs that haven’t been in existence very long or were in a lower classification in the past. Still, there are a lot of teams who have yet to experience a whuppin’ at the hands of the Dawgs.

Ball State would normally appear on this list, but Georgia is scheduled to play them in Week 2 at Sanford Stadium.

Starting with some of the less-surprising entries to this list, there is only one team in the American Athletic Conference Georgia has never faced, the USF Bulls.  This one feels a bit odd due to the close proximity but South Florida didn’t start playing football until 1997, so it’s a relatively young program.
