2. DB Jaden Harris
The second transfer commitment that was a big win for Georgia is when defensive back Jaden Harris made the move to UGA.
On the surface this pickup wasn’t nearly as massive as Branch or the final player on this list, but Harris is still an extremely solid player. This past season was the first year as a starter for Harris, and he recorded 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two passes defended and an interception. This shows that he will be more than capable to come to Georgia and compete for significant playing time if not become a starter right away.
But there’s another reason why this pickup was a big deal, and that’s because he was a transfer from Miami (FL). Ever since Carson Beck transferred to Miami, any news involving the two programs has grown in magnitude. So if Harris could come to Georgia and immediately make an impact on the field, that would help Georgia fans feel much better about losing Beck.
And Harris clearly has the talent to do just that.
