June is here and that means it’s time for Kirby Smart and Georgia to embark on the biggest month of receuiting. The Bulldogs already kicked off their string of massive recruiting weekends by welcoming a long list of players to campus this weekend, and for the rest of June they will continue doing the same.
Last year Georgia earned nearly 20 commitments throughout the month of June, so it’s likely just a matter of time until some commitments start happening this year.
Who will those players be? These three recruits may be the most likely as the calendar flips to June.
1. LB Joakim Gouda
Four-star linebacker Joakim Gouda is a name that Georgia fans likely are familiar with. He has visited campus countless times and was back on campus again this weekend.
He is the No. 193 overall player in the country and because of that he has a lot of big name schools also after him. The most notable schools are Florida, Texas and Auburn who will all host him on an official visit over the next three weeks.
On3 is very confident Georgia will win this recruitment as they give UGA a 91 percent chance to come out on top. That however could change after these visits, so the hope is that Smart will earn his commitment after this weekend before he even takes these other visits.
2. DB Adryan Cole
Four-star defensive back Adryan Cole was predicted to commit to Georgia back in mid-May after an unofficial visit to Georgia. He however has not done so because he wants to finish out all of his official visits over the next month.
That is a bit concerning considering he is scheduled to visit LSU, Florida and Ole Miss, but as it stands today On3 gives Georgia a 90 percent change to earn his commitment.
Cole does have his official visit with Georgia coming up later in June, so there is a great chance he could pull the trigger and commit during that visit. Georgia however will need to survive a few other visits before then, but On3 is confident they will do so.
3. OT JJ Brown
Four-star offensive tackle JJ Brown is a little more unknown compared to Gouda and Cole, but he is someone who could commit to Georgia at some point this June too.
Brown began his string of official visits this weekend with a trip to Clemson. He will follow that up with his visit to Georgia next weekend with one final trip to Auburn the weekend after.
This is some stiff competition for Georgia, but On3 does give UGA an 84 percent chance to win his recruitment.
Similarly to Cole this feels like a recruitment that could end during his visit to Athens next week, but if that doesn't happen Georgia should like their chances of getting good news after his final visit to Auburn the following weekend.
