There are still a few interesting names left in the transfer portal for Georgia to potentially target.

The Georgia Bulldogs should be full-steam ahead to spring practice. That being said, there are still a few holdovers out there to be had in the transfer portal. With the transfer portal having closed last Saturday after the national championship game between Indiana and Miami, as long as a player is in the portal, he is free to join any team who has interest in him. Could there be players Georgia wants?

At this stage of the game, spring semester is fully underway. The drop-add period across the nation has come and gone, so getting a player into class at this stage of the game might be a tall ask. Then again, we have a student population that is more in tune with online learning than ever before. With Georgia losing more players than it brought in, there could be a few pieces they could look to backfill.

So what we are going to do today is look at who are some of the best available players still out there in the portal. With Georgia needing to getting deeper in a few key spots, there could be opportunities for Kirby Smart's team to land a few last-minute additions to its transfer portal class. Where it stands now, Georgia had nine players sign via the portal, and 12 leave for other programs, with no leftovers.

If Georgia wanted to offset being minus-three in that department, here is who they could target now.

3. Former Auburn Tigers offensive tackle Broderick Shull

As of early Tuesday afternoon, former Auburn Tigers offensive tackle Broderick Shull is one of the 10 best prospects still in the portal. Shull hails from Bixby, Oklahoma and entered the portal on Jan. 6. Apparently, he did not spend much of last season with the team. Although he may end up transferring closer to home, Shull is the type of player Georgia may want to bring in to take advantage of Auburn.

This has been a transfer portal to forget for incoming head coach Alex Golesh. He has brought with him a boatload of former South Florida players, ones he won a ton of games with in Tampa. However, those are guys who starred in The American, and this is the SEC... Georgia landing Shull feels like a bit of a long shot, but the Dawgs do need some depth in the trenches. Shull can potentially provide that.

For now, it will be interesting to see where this former four-star recruit ends up playing next season.

2. Former Baylor Bears edge rusher Kamauryn Morgan

At this time, former Baylor Bears edge rusher Kamauryn Morgan is arguably the most gettable player still in the portal. He is the No. 3 available prospect as of Tuesday afternoon. Morgan is not crystal balled to any program right now, despite having been committed to Virginia Tech for a week. He only spent one year at Baylor, so maybe Georgia can amplify its pass rush for years to come with Morgan?

Under Kirby Smart, Georgia has done a great job of recruiting in the state of Texas. Morgan hails from Dallas, opting to play for nearby Baylor out of high school. He may only be a top-20 edge prospect in this portal cycle, but there is certainly some room to grow for this 6-foot-5, 251 edge rusher out of South Oak Cliff. Keep in mind that Smart and James Franklin go for similar type of players these days.

With Darian Mensah and Cooper Barkate crystal balled from Duke to Miami, Morgan should rise up.

1. Former Auburn Tigers wide receiver Horatio Fields

While Broderick Shull has been in the portal for nearly a month now, and Kamauryn Morgan has been in it for over 10 days, wide receiver Horatio Fields has only been in the portal for a few days now. The former Auburn wide receiver had been committed to Missouri up until last week. Former Ole Miss wide receiver Cayden Lee going to Mizzou complicated things. So where is Fields to go in all of this?

Well, the Douglasville native could come home and play for the Dawgs! He spent his first few college seasons playing for Dave Clawson over at Wake Forest. Fields was only on Auburn for this past season. With Douglasville being in the Metro Atlanta area, you have to believe Georgia could potentially be in on him as a last-minute addition. Otherwise, he might go to rival Georgia Tech here...

If any guy still left in the portal ends up at Georgia, it will be hard to pass up Fields' ties to the region.
