There are quite a few wide receivers in the transfer portal already that Georgia should think about targeting.

Georgia football still has a lot of football to play this season, but that isn't stopping the transfer portal from taking center stage. The portal officially opens on Dec. 9, so while no player is able to officially enter the portal yet, many have announced that they will be entering the portal as soon as it opens.

UGA has not been immune to having a player announce their intentions to enter the portal as corner Julian Humphrey has stated he will be entering the portal this offseason. So while Georgia will surely lose a fair amount of players to the portal (like every team will), they will also be pretty active as well. And one position they will likely be targeting in the portal is wide receiver.

Georgia's wide receiver room has not been that great this year as the unit leads the country in drops. So Kirby Smart and his staff will likely look to add at least one option at receiver to help improve this room heading into next year.

Thankfully for Georgia, there are already some elite options available to them in the portal that they could start recruiting as soon as the portal opens.

Kevin Concepcion - NC State

First up is Kevin Concepcion from NC State, who has put together two solid seasons so far in his career. This past season, Concepcion put up a solid 53 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns. But his first season with NC State was even better.

As a freshman, Concepcion tallied a whopping 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns.

So while it may be a little concerning to see his production drop from year one to year two, both his freshman and sophomore seasons with NC State are very impressive. So he is a clear option for Smart and his staff to target in the portal if they choose to go after a wide receiver.

Eric Rivers - FIU

Next up is Eric Rivers from FIU, who is a player that a lot of power four schools will be targeting after his impressive season this year.

Rivers has played two seasons with FIU, and had a very solid first year where he recorded 32 receptions. However, his sophomore season he exploded onto the scene with 62 receptions for 1,172 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Sure these stats were recorded at the group of five level, but Rivers has plenty of talent to make the jump to the power four level. And Georgia could definitely use someone who has already had this great of a season as Rivers would likely come in and immediately improve the wide receiver room and decrease the amount of drops this group has.

Micah Hudson - Texas Tech

Last but not least is Micah Hudson from Texas Tech. Hudson has played one year of college ball so far where he was only able to record eight catches for 123 yards. However, this is not due to a lack of talent.

Hudson was a five-star prospect in the 2024 class, and was the No. 25 overall player and No. 5 wide receiver according to 247Sports. So even though he didn't have the greatest freshman season, he clearly does have a lot of talent that Smart and his staff could tap into.

So if Georgia wants to add a receiver that would be in Athens for a few seasons still, then Hudson would be a great option.
