Georgia football fall camp is scheduled to begin later this week. This is as exciting of a time as ever for Georgia fans, but it can be a stressful time for head coach Kirby Smart.
The Bulldogs face a lot of questions as they gear up for the 2025 season, but these four questions are the biggest that Smart and his staff will have to answer throughout fall camp this next month.
1. Who is the starting QB?
Georgia fans may think it is a guarantee that Gunner Stockton will be the starter for UGA this fall, especially after he was one of Georgia's three representatives at SEC Media Days. That however has not been officially announced and Smart even went as far as to confirm that the competition is still ongoing between Stockton and Ryan Puglisi.
The hope for Smart however is that he will identify who the starter is as soon as possible, that way that player can get as many reps with the first team offense as possible during fall camp.
2. Has the wide receiver room improved after last year's debacle?
The biggest issue for Georgia last season was the struggles from the wide receiver room. In fact, the Bulldogs led the nation in drops which is a recipe for disaster.
Georgia's wide receiver group will look much different this year compared to last year after the additions of transfers Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas. Regardless of who is in the room, Georgia's wide receivers are going to have to be much improved because whoever the starting QB is will be counting on them.
3. Will Georgia be able to dominate the trenches?
Football games typically are won and lost in the trenches. During UGA's dominant run the past few years, they have had one of the best offensive and defensive lines in the country.
However, the strength of both fronts is in question after both sides of the ball lost countless players to the NFL and Transfer Portal this offseason. The younger players and transfers will need to step up and dominate to make life as easy as possible for the rest of the team if Georgia is going to find success this season.
4. Can Georgia stay healthy?
Football is the most physical sport in the world, so that means injuries are going to happen every year. However, can Georgia avoid a lot of injuries during fall camp so their team is as close to 100 percent as possible when the season begins?
The Bulldogs were plagued by injuries last season, but they were still able to win the SEC Championship. So imagine how much better the team can be this year if injury luck is on their side.
