Georgia football made yet another big splash on Saturday by earning a commitment from four-star corner Caden Harris. This commitment however was extra special because he is a top 100 player in the country and a former commit of Vanderbilt.
College football fans around the country however are hesitant to celebrate wins on the recruiting trail because recruits decommit and flip to new programs now more than ever. This is especially a concern with a player like Harris who has already changed his mind and flipped his commitment once.
While this thought process does make a lot of sense, the below social media post Harris shared immediately after committing to Georgia makes the concerns of him flipping again immediately go away.

Caden Harris is one of Georgia's biggest recruiting wins
Harris arguably is one of Georgia's biggest commitments so far this cycle. This is the case for many reasons, with the biggest being how high he is ranked in the recruiting rankings. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Harris is the No. 85 overall player in the country and the No. 11 corner in the 2026 class.
On top of being one of the top players in the country, the fact Harris flipped from an SEC program to Georgia is a big deal too. The last thing UGA wants is for other SEC teams to get on Georgia's level, so stealing a recruit from a school like Vanderbilt will make it that much more difficult for them to compete with the Bulldogs.
But the greatest thing of all is that Georgia won't have to worry about losing Harris's commitment. Kirby Smart and his staff can now focus their attention on recruiting other players, because Harris will officially be a Georgia Bulldog when he signs with the program in December.
