Even though the college football season is on the brink of starting, that doesn't mean recruiting just falls to the wayside. For many teams, it is still a top priority for them with prospects coming for game visits to see how their potential team performs. For one Georgia commit, he is considering going on a few in-season visits to other schools, which should worry the Bulldogs.
Jae Lamar committed to Georgia back on June 25 as a four-star running back out of Moultrie, Georgia. Lamar is the No. 119 player in the Class of 2026, the No. 11 running back in his class, and the No. 15 player in the state of Georgia. Even though he is committed to the Bulldogs, other schools are still working to flip him, schools including Auburn, Florida State, and Miami.

All three schools make sense to still be pursuing Lamar as they are all close to home for him, and as a four-star running back in the class, he is someone they would love to land. Sometimes, hearing that other schools are still working on flipping a commit can be nothing to worry about, but to hear that Lamar is considering taking in-season visits to other schools is what makes it troubling.
Even though Georgia has for the most part completed their 2026 recruiting class, that doesn't mean every one of those players will make it to signing day. Losing Lamar would be a big loss for the Bulldogs as he is the only running back recruit in the Class of 2026 at Georgia, and it doesn't look like Georgia is going to land five-star Savion Hiter when he makes his commitment.
Kirby Smart has to figure out a way to secure Lamar's commitment completely so that he doesn't have to worry about him wandering off to other schools during the season.
