Georgia had one final recruiting event this weekend where they brought countless elite recruits to Athens on a visit. One of those recruits on campus was Donte Wright, a four-star corner who has been committed to Georgia since June.
While he has been a long time commit for Georgia, he recently hasn’t been acting like a UGA commit. That however changed this weekend as he posted a positive message on social media after his visit this weekend.

It gets even better though DawgsHQ points out as Wright said he’s “strongly committed” after his visit to Georgia this weekend.

Georgia’s top commit reaffirms his loyalty to UGA
The last few months haven’t been the best for Georgia in their pursuit of Wright. Sure he has remained committed to Georgia, but multiple reports have surfaced indicating that other schools are still pursuing him, and some of those reports have gone as far as to say that Wright has been listening to them.
West coast schools like Oregon and Cal have been pushing hard recently, and even Miami has gotten involved. All of those schools have found some success, but this weekend changed everything. This weekend Georgia made a big impression on Wright to the point that they are now the clear No. 1 school again.
This is big news for Georgia because of how talented Wright is. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 31 overall player in the country, No. 3 corner and No. 2 player from California.
It will be interesting to see if Wright remains locked in with Georgia or if he’ll continue listening to other schools. Regardless of what happens though, his commitment to Georgia is as secure as it’s ever been and there’s a good chance that will continue for the foreseeable future.
