4-star Georgia DL target announces his top schools
Georgia football and their entire staff have their complete focus on recruiting the 2025 class. And why shouldn't they? There is only a couple weeks left until the early signing period begins, so Kirby Smart and his staff need to work as hard as they can to finish this class off strong.
But that doesn't mean they should ignore the 2026 class either. And thankfully they are putting a lot of effort into starting this class off strong as well.
Georgia earned their third commitment in the 2026 class just last week, and now UGA is getting some more good news as the Bulldogs have made the top list for a talented defensive lineman in the 2026 class.
4-star DL Anthony Kennedy
Anthony Kennedy is a four-star defensive lineman from Maumelle, AR. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 331 overall player in the 2026 class. He also is the No. 41 defensive lineman and the No. 6 player from Arkansas.
Earlier this week, Kennedy cut his list down to eight schools, and Georgia made the cut. Tennessee, SMU, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Miami (FL) and Miami all made Kennedy's top eight along with Georgia.
At this point it is unknown who the leader is in Kennedy's recruitment out of these eight schools. We likely won't find that out for awhile still considering his recruitment still has over a year to go, but Smart and his staff are clearly doing what they can to put themselves in a good position early on.
As the summer approaches, look for Georgia to continue to stay in contact with Kennedy and try to bring him to Athens on a visit. If they can get him on campus a couple times this offseason, that would be very telling as to where Georgia stands in this recruitment.
