Georgia football is officially hot on the recruiting trail. On Monday Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs earned a commitment from a four-star safety, who was previously committed to Georgia Tech.

But one commitment wasn't enough for Smart and his staff as they earned yet another commitment on Tuesday, this time in the 2026 class.

4-star WR Vance Spafford

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford has officially committed to Georgia.

Spafford is the No. 65 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 10 ranked wide receiver in his class and the No. 10 player from his home state of California as well.

Spafford clearly has been all Georgia his entire recruitment, why else would he be committing to UGA with over a year left in his recruitment?

On Nov. 1, Georgia began receiving predictions from multiple recruiting sites to land Spafford. However, a commitment date remained unknown, so it was unclear when Spafford would make things official. But thankfully Georgia fans did not have to wait long for him to join the class.

Spafford immediately becomes the highest ranked player committed to Georgia's 2026 recruiting class. He joins fellow four-star Dominick Kelly and three-star corner Jontavius Wyman as the three members of UGA's recruiting class. These three commits are good enough to give Georgia the No. 13 class in the country for the class of 2026.

Even though Smart and his staff have nearly all of their attention on the 2025 recruiting class, it is huge to see them putting in work for next year's class already. This commitment will make their lives much easier next year because it not only builds momentum for the 2026 class, but it also allows the staff to focus their time and attention on other players.

Let's hope the good news doesn't stop anytime soon, because a commitment per day so far this week has been amazing.
