The week for Georgia football continues to get better and better. If beating rival Florida 34-20 on Saturday wasn't good enough, Georgia is getting even more great news, this time on the recruiting trail.

Kirby Smart and his staff are working extremely hard to finish out their 2025 class, and those efforts were rewarded on Monday with a commitment from a talented four-star safety from Georgia.

Four-star safety Rasean Dinkins

According to Jeff Sentell with Dawg Nation, four-star safety Rasean Dinkins has committed to Georgia. According to 247Sports, Dinkins is the No. 219 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 19 ranked safety in his class as well as the No. 32 player from Georgia.

To make this commitment even better, Dinkins was committed to rival Georgia Tech. Dinkins originally committed to the Yellow Jackets in the beginning of June, but his recruitment never felt over even after that. Dinkins went on to visit Ole Miss and Mississippi State later this summer, showing he was never fully sold on Georgia Tech.

Then Georgia and Smart decided to get involved and offered Dinkins about two months ago. UGA clearly made quick work in this recruitment, and began receiving crystal ball predictions in their favor two weeks ago. Fast forward to Monday and Dinkins has made his commitment to Georgia official.

Georgia's 2025 recruiting class remains No. 3 in the country according to 247Sports, but the gap between them and Ohio State and Alabama is closing. There is a great chance Georgia can finish with the top recruiting class in the country again, and it's pickups like this that will get Georgia there.

So after an exciting weekend beating a rival on the field, Georgia is now beating a different rival on the recruiting trail. Commitments are always exciting no matter what, but it really doesn't get much better than flipping a recruit from one of Georgia's rivals.
