4-star Georgia football EDGE target announces commitment date
Georgia football is getting hot as the 2025 recruiting cycle is coming to a close. Early signing period begins in one month, and as it stands today the Bulldogs have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country.
But Kirby Smart and his staff are looking to improve on that in a hurry.
Georgia already flipped a four-star safety from Georgia Tech on Monday, and now they have their eyes set on another elite recruit.
Four-star EDGE Chase Linton is someone that Georgia has been high on for quite some time. On Monday he announed who his top four schools are and also what day he plans to announce his commitment. And it's safe to say that Georgia fans are going to want to circle this date on their calendars.
Chase Linton to announce his commitment later this month
According to Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports, Linton has announced his final four schools are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois and Rutgers. Linton also shared that he will be announcing his commitment on Nov. 20.
According to 247Sports, Linton is the No. 45 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 4 EDGE and No. 7 player from Georgia as well.
Linton appears to be leaning towards the Bulldogs as he currently has four crystal ball predictions on 247Sports to commit to Georgia. All four predictions were placed in August, so as long as nothing changes there Georgia fans should expect good news in about two weeks.
If Linton commits to Georgia, he would be joining a stacked defensive line recruiting class. Georgia already has a commitment from the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country in Elijah Griffin, and they also are the favorites to land the No. 2 ranked defensive lineman in Justus Terry. So adding Linton to the mix would be the icing on the cake.
With over two weeks remaining until his commitment, anything is still possible. But as it stands today, Georgia fans should expect some good news in two short weeks.
