Four-star running back Jae Lamar is the one and only running back committed to Georgia's 2026 recruiting class. That makes holding on to his commitment extremely important so UGA adds at least one running back to their roster next season.

The last couple weeks however have spelled bad news for Georgia in Lamar's recruitment as he is beginning to have second thoughts about his commitment to UGA. In fact, Lamar will be making a few other visits this season, and reports indicate that Florida State, Miami (FL) and Auburn could be the programs in line to host him.

This is a very scary report for Georgia fans to see, but Lamar did give UGA fans a small sign that maybe they shouldn't be as worried about where he stands.

Jae Lamar is still showing Georgia love even with his flip rumors

Last week was Lamar's first game of his senior season, and he was seen wearing a Georgia towel during the game. This game occurred after the reports of him showing interest in visiting other schools, so it was a great thing to see Lamar still repping Georgia.

The fact that he was wearing a Georgia towel however won't change his interest in visiting other schools. So at this point it is still expected for Lamar to take visits to these three other schools. But this small gesture is a sign to Georgia fans that he is still locked in with UGA, even if he is beginning to have a wandering eye.

It will be interesting to see if Georgia will still win this recruitment by the time early signing period begins in December. Georgia thankfully doesn't have too many commits who are still looking elsewhere, but Lamar is someone that Kirby Smart and his staff can't afford to lose.
