Georgia football is still on top of the world after five-star quarterback Jared Curtis announced his commitment to UGA last week. Kirby Smart and his staff however can't dwell on that no matter how massive it was because they still have a lot of work to do to improve their 2026 recruiting class.
All eyes are now on five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell who is the No. 1 player in the country as he is set to announce his commitment on May 13. Most Georgia fans felt this is their next chance at earning another commitment, but one of the top safeties in the country just hinted that they could be coming off the board sooner than that.

4-star safety Jordan Smith hints at big news
Jordan Smith is a four-star safety from Warner Robbins, GA. According to 247Sports, Smith is the No. 56 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 6 safety in his class as well as the No. 5 overall player from his home state of Georgia.
Like with most of the best players from the Peach State, Georgia is in hot pursuit as they are trying to add Smith to their recruiting class. And it appears they are doing an excellent job recruiting him because they have one crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports.
However, it's unclear when Smith is planning to announce a commitment, but the above post shows that something big could be coming on May 11. Who knows if this will be a commitment, but this is definitely something to monitor throughout the day.
There is a chance this news could just be announcing visits or sharing who his top schools are, but any news shared should include Georgia so this is something to pay close attention to throughout May 11.
