Georgia football desperately wants another running back in their 2026 recruiting class. There are a few good options out there for Georgia, but one of the top candidates is four-star Amari Latimer.
Latimer has been committed to Wisconsin since June, but a report from On3's Jeremy Johnson shows that he is open to hearing Georgia's recruiting pitch and is giving them a chance to flip him.

4-star RB could be a future Georgia commit
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Latimer is the No. 20 running back in the 2026 recruiting class. He also is the No. 306 player in the country and the No. 36 overall player from the state of Georgia.
No offense to Wisconsin, but they are not a program that can recruit on Georgia's level. This is especially the case with a prospect like Latimer who is from the Peach State and likely grew up dreaming of playing for Georgia one day. So even though Georgia may not have recruited him that hard early in his recruitment, the Bulldogs getting involved now could quickly change his mind on where he wants to go to college.
Georgia currently only has one running back committed to their 2026 class. However, by the end of the cycle Georgia wants to have two backs in their recruiting class, so Kirby Smart and his staff will do everything they can to find that player as soon as possible.
The hope was that five-star Derrek Cooper would have been UGA's second running back, but he unfortunately committed to Texas. Then there is fellow five-star Savion Hiter who will announce his commitment soon, but he most likely will be headed north even though UGA is a finalist.
So this leaves Georgia with Latimer as one of their only remaining targets at running back, thankfully he is an impressive recruits from Georgia's backyard, so there is a good chance they will be able to flip him from Wisconsin.
