Georgia football once again has signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country. Kirby Smart and his staff however still have a little more work to do to put the finishing touches on their 2026 class.
Wide receiver is one position that Georgia is still looking to add another player, and they have their eyes set on four-star Samson Gash from Michigan who has given UGA a unique chance to win his recruitment.

Georgia moving quickly to flip 4-star WR
Gash is a four-star wide receiver from the state of Michigan who has been committed to Michigan State since June. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gash is the No. 381 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 55 receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 6 overall player from the state of Michigan.
Gash had every intention of signing with the Spartans during the Early Signing period, but after they fired head coach Jonathan Smith he decided he wanted to keep his recruitment open until February. This has given Georgia the unique opportunity to target a recruit into the new year when most recruits across the country have already signed with their new schools.
Georgia just offered Gash on Friday, and reports indicate that he plans to visit Athens during the New Year before he makes his final decision in February.
Georgia is motivated to find a new wide receiver because they lost Brady Marchese to Michigan right before signing day. The Bulldogs do still have two talented receivers already signed to their 2026 class, but it's clear they want a third player to join that group.
While Gash isn't ranked as high as Marchese he would still be a very good replacement. He is someone that could come into Georgia and immediately compete for playing time as a freshman while growing into a starter in the years to come.
So he is someone that could be the perfect final player to add to their recruiting class in February.
