July 4 is already a good enough reason for Georgia football fans to spend the day celebrating, but the Bulldogs were hoping for some good news on the recruiting trail that would send the fanbase into a frenzy.
Four-star tight end Brayden Fogle is the No. 8 tight end in the 2026 class, and July 4 marked his commitment date. Fogle had a final three that consisted of Georgia, Penn State and LSU, but it was the Bulldogs who have officially come out on top and earned a commitment from Fogle.

Georgia continues recruiting hot streak with 4-star TE commitment
Georgia's hot streak on the recruiting trail has been well documented as the Bulldogs earned 18 commitments throughout the month of June. 16 of these commits came in the 2026 class, which sent Georgia's recruiting class up to No. 2 in the country.
After three days off from earning a commitment, Fogle now keeps Georgia's momentum rolling after becoming the 27th player to join the Bulldogs class.
All eyes now turn to five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro who is the last target for the Bulldogs at tight end in the 2026 class. Prothro intends to announce his commitment on July 12, and Georgia is the current leader in his recruitment. A Georgia insider even confirmed this is still the case even after this commitment from Fogle. So in about a week, Georgia could be adding another elite tight end to their class that could send the Bulldogs past USC for the top recruiting class in the country.
But until that happens Georgia fans can enjoy the holiday weekend know that their recruiting class is continuing to get better. And with how hot Georgia has been over the last month, it wouldn't be surprising to see another commitment come soon for the Bulldogs.
