4. Tennessee may never beat Georgia again
Tennesse may never be able to beat Georgia again. Georgia has now won nine straight meetings against Tennessee, but out of those nine wins Saturday was the Volunteers best chance to finally come away with a win.
Tennessee couldn't have dreamed of a better start as they were leading Georgia 21-7 before anyone could even blink. Georgia did come back and snatch the lead from Tennesse early in the second half, but instead of losing control from their they regained the lead. And ever after Georgia scored a late touchdown and converted on a two-point conversion to tie the game, Tennessee still had a chance to win it with a field goal.
And that kick (thankfully) soared wide right.
Tennessee had this win in the bag, and Kirby Smart himself said that they deserved to win, but the Volunteers still couldn't get it done. So it begs the question to be asked, will Tennessee ever beat Georgia again?
