Georgia football had yet another big game on their schedule this weekend, this time welcoming an undefeated Ole Miss team to Athens. The Bulldogs offense answered the call all night long and had their best performance so far this season. Georgia's defense on the other hand left a lot to be desired as the Ole Miss offense couldn't be stopped.
But at the end of the day it was Georgia who emerged victorious 43-35 in what was one of the most thrilling games Georgia has played over the last few years in Sanford Stadium.
Here are five massive observations from the Georgia football win over Ole Miss
1. Gunner Stockton has a strong case for being a Heisman contender
Gunner Stockton has made a strong case to be in the running for the Heisman Trophy. Stockton completed 26 of 31 passes against Ole Miss for 289 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 59 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground as well.
Every player that contends for the Heisman Trophy needs their "Hesiman moment." Stockton's Heisman moment very well could have been his outstanding game against the Rebels. Five total touchdowns against a top five team in the country is about as good as it gets, so don't be surprised to start seeing Stockton mentioned with the other frontrunners to win this award.
