5-star EDGE is begging Kirby Smart to change the course of his recruitment

Kirby Smart has no choice but to act fast after five-star's latest wish.

KJ Green is a five-star EDGE from the state of Georgia. He is the No. 8 player in the country according to 247Sports, and Kirby Smart has made it clear that he really wants him to play at Georgia.

The only problem is that Green has been feeling the love from countless other programs as well. But he recently spoke to 247Sports about his recruitment, and in that interview he was begging for Smart to take his relationship with him to the next level.

"I love guys that just don't give up and they just keep going. So, I feel like they (Georgia) continued to push. They set everything straight. I got to build a better, stronger relationship with Coach Smart. That experience was crazy."

Green has nine spring visits on the docket and that includes an upcoming trip to Athens. He has already visited Georgia a lot throughout his recruitment, but he knows that this next visit to town is crucial.

By now he probably knows what life would look like if he chose to play at Georgia. Being an in-state recruit has likely caused him to grow up dreaming about playing between the hedges. Winning his recruitment however isn't that simple, and this quote shows it is all up to Smart to win bring him home.

Green acknoledged in the above quote that his relationship with Smart has improved recently. He however still wants to see that relationship improve throughout the course of his recruitment, and that begins on his next visit to Athens.

If Georgia is going to win this recruitment it will be because Smart went all out to build a strong bond with him. That may seem like an easy thing for him to do, but with so many other schools going after him it will not be as easy as it sounds. But Smart is one of the best recruiters in the country, so this is a recruitment that Georgia should expect to win.
