Five-star quarterback Jayden Wade continues to hold steady as the Bulldogs' top commit in the 2028 recruiting class. When he committed to Georgia he was the nation's No. 1 overall recruit, that however has changed.

Rivals just released their updating rankings for the 2028 class this week, and instead of being ranked at the top of the class Wade unexpectedly dropped further than anyone thought possible.

5-star Jayden Wade free falls down recruiting rankings

According to these updated Rivals rankings, Wade is now the No. 31 player in the country. He also is the No. 3 quarterback in the country and only the No. 6 player from Florida as well.

It's impossible to say what led to this significant drop. It felt like he was locked in as a top 10 player in the country like he has been for the last year, but Rivals decided to shake things up in a big way.

Wade however is still ranked very high based on other rankings. The Rivals Industry ranking names him the No. 6 player in the country. 247Sports composite ranking has him as the No. 7 overall player, but their individual ranking still has him as the No. 1 player in the country. So overall he is still a highly ranked recruit, but his ranking overall did dip a little thanks to Rivals.

This however shouldn't bother Georgia. He is still an elite player that is 100 percent locked in with Georgia. He is however being courted by other schools, but Wade has remained committed to Georgia thanks to his long history with Kirby Smart and the UGA coaching staff.

The only thing that matters is Wade remaining committed to Georgia. How the recruiting sites rank him ris irrelevant, so as long as he sticks with UGA and continues to improve throughout his final two high school seasons then that is good enough for Georgia.
