Five-star running back Kemon Spell is bringing the juice to Georgia. He is the No. 1 running back in the 2027 class as well as the No. 7 overall recruit, so the fact that he is already committed to Georgia is a massive deal.
Spell will undoubtedly find a lot of success at running back duirng his career in Athens, but he recently showed off his impressive skills on the defensive side of the ball as well.

5-star Kemon Spell can do it all
In the 7-on-7 clip above, Spell is seen making an impressive interception while playing defense for his team. That is something no one expected to see since he is a running back, but this play shows just how great of an athlete he is.
This highlight however really shouldn't be that surprising. As a high school freshman he began on Varsity as a backup safety. He wasn't expected to play much at all his freshman year, but his head coach decided to give him one carry at the end of a blowout victory. Spell took that carry and ripped off a 35 yard run and followed that up with another 25 yard run on the next play.
The rest was history after those plays.
It is extremely unlikely that Spell will ever play defense at Georgia. In fact, it might be the safest bet in the world that it will never happen. But it is nice knowing that Georgia has a running back coming to Athens capable of making these plays. This not only shows how athletic he really is, but he likely has a great understanding of what defenses are running which he can use to his advantage.
Spell's arrival to Athens next year was already a big deal, but this play only increases the hype surrounding his upcoming career in Athens.
