The last few days have been a complete whirlwind for Georgia football and five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis. Reports began circulating on Thursday that he was giving Vanderbilt a real chance at flipping him while he visiting this weekend, and that sent Georgia fans into a worried frenzy.

After seeing all of this drama unfold, Curtis came to the rescue to help calm Georgia fans down. During his visit to Vanderbilt on Saturday, he sent a message to Georgia that there is no need to worry about him flipping and that he will remain a Bulldog no matter what.

“I’m just going down there to watch the game with my coaches and a teammate that’s looking at Vanderbilt,” he said. “It’ll be a fun time. At the end of the day, I’m still a Bulldog.”

The worst thing possible for Georgia would be to lose Curtis from their recruiting class. He is the highest ranked commit in their 2026 class and a big reason why other recruits chose to commit to Georgia, so if he left UGA that could cause a few other recruits to follow suit. Thankfully Curtis eliminated any chance of that happening on Saturday.

Curtis shared in the above quote that he is only visiting Vanderbilt on Saturday to be there for a teammate who is thinking about playing there. There also is a chance Curtis grew up somewhat of a Vanderbilt fan as well since he is from Nashville, so getting to see a top 10 Vanderbilt team take on Missouri is too good of an opportunity for him to pass up.

At the end of the day though it doesn't really matter why he's visiting the Commodores. Curtis himself said that he is a Bulldogs and that nothing can change that, so Georgia fans can breathe easy knowing their future superstar QB isn't going anywhere.
