There are countless reasons for Georgia fans to be excited about the season ahead, but it’s impossible to not look beyond this season at what is to come in the very near future.
Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis will arrive in Athens next year, and the anticipation to see him take the field at Georgia is already sky high. And a recent highlight from his first game of his senior season will take that anticipation to another level.

Jared Curtis shows off his legs with monster rushing touchdown to kick off his season
Everyone knows by now how elite of a quarterback Curtis is. He currently is the No. 5 player in the country and the No. 2 quarterback in the 2026 class as well, so there is no way for him to hide his immense talent.
Curtis however has not been known for being an elite runner up to this point in his high school career. He has always been a capable runner, but his arm talent is what has earned him his impressive reputation, not his legs. That however is going to be changing after he ran for a 57-yard touchdown in the first game of his senior season.
It will be fun to watch Curtis finish out his high school career this year as Georgia fans wait for his arrival in Athens, but UGA fans will actually be seeing a lot of Curtis this season. Curtis recently announced that he plans to be at every home game this season to help give Georgia a boost in recruiting whoever else is in town for that game.
So fans at Sanford Stadium will get to see Curtis a lot this year before he officially moves to Athens to begin what could be one of the most historic careers in Georgia football history.
