Five-star running back Kemon Spell committed to Georgia a few weeks ago, and ever since then two major things have occurred.

The first thing that’s occurred since he committed is Spell putting his recruiting hat on to help Georgia add as many recruits as possible. That obviously is a very good thing, but rumors unfortunately have continued to float around claiming that his recruitment is far from over.

These rumors have stemmed from rival fanbases so they should be taken with a grain salt, but Spell immediately slammed the door shut on those rumors when he heard them.

“I’ve seen the comments,” Spell said via ugafootballlive.com. “I know what some are thinking. But I don’t react to them. That’s just not my place.”

Kemon Spell’s latest comments grabs the attention of the recruiting world

Spell shared that he is giving no validity to these rumors, so much so that he didn’t even want to comment on them. So all that means is that Spell isn’t going anywhere and plans to be officially sign with Georgia at the end of the year.

So while Georgia waits for that to occur, they can enjoy the benefits that come with his commitment. Spell is the No. 7 overall recruit in the country, and when a player of that magnitude commits to Georgia it impacts the entire recruiting class. Recruits from across the country want to play with other really good players, so they will see Spell at Georgia and want to give UGA a closer look to see if they’re a good fit as well.

It will be interesting to see if these comments from Spell help Georgia’s recruiting class, but at the end of the day it is good knowing that he is going absolutely nowhere no matter how bad rival fans want him to.
