Other than Georgia football's big win against Tennessee on Saturday, the best thing about the game was by far the atmosphere inside Sanford Stadium. After not being able to watch Georgia play in person for over a month, the Georgia fanbase did what they always do and created an electric atmosphere on Saturday night.

Having an atmosphere like Georgia had on Saturday is huge for a few reasons. Obviously it directly impacts the game on the field and makes life very difficult for the visiting team. But on top of that, it also helps in recruiting. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but what recruit wouldn't want to play for a school that has an extremely passionate fanbase?

Sure there are more important things when recruits are making their college decision, but having a great fanbase and environment to play in front of certainly helps. One recruit in particular took notice to this atmosphere, and even went as far as to say it was "the best" he has ever seen. That recruit was five-star corner DJ Pickett.

“Georgia’s atmosphere is the best I have seen at night.”

DJ Pickett could be a flip target for Georgia

Pickett is a five-star corner who is currently committed to LSU. Pickett is about as good of a player as you will ever find out of high school as he is the No. 10 overall player in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Pickett initially was supposed to visit Florida this weekend, but decided last second to ditch the Gators and come to Athens instead. And it sounds like that is a decision he is not regretting.

Pickett clearly is having second thoughts about his commitment to LSU, because why else would he be taking visits to other schools? It is unclear at this time how much of a chance Georgia stands at flipping him, but they certainly stand at least a small chance at doing so. It also doesn't hurt that Georgia is trending up after their big win this weekend and LSU is trending down after losing their third game in a row.

Kirby Smart and his staff have a lot of work to do if they are going to flip Pickett, but for now it seems like there is a small chance. But at the end of the day, even if Pickett sticks with LSU, at least Georgia now knows that they have a better environment than LSU, who is usually the school regarded as having the best atmosphere in the country.
